After purchasing Chapelerne farmhouse in 2005 we have spent a lot of time and effort in upgrading this traditional Galloway Farmhouse to provide a comfortable self-catering holiday home in Galloway.
The Brown family have been farming in Galloway since 1945, originating from Ochiltree in Ayrshire. Initially the home farm, Trowdale was a dairy farm but now the main farming enterprises are 150 suckler cows which calve during two periods of the year, April and August. The other enterprise is the sheep flock which lambs around the end of March. To provide some feeding for the animals we have a small acreage of spring barley.
Visitors are welcome to see the farm by prior arrangement.
